As her eyes began to sparkle
I saw a glimmer of hope
She shifted her eyes
So hard to cope

I talk to her every day
I'll sit and hold her hand
Praying she can hear me
Or even understand

As days go by so slow
Killing me inside
Watching my little girl
Waiting here to die
