Ode to God #3

Ronald Bunch 1982 (Grand Rapids)

Ode

Oh, God, I adore You.
Even if we’re hungry and poor,
You teach us money we shouldn’t adore.
You increase our faith.

Oh, God, I adore You.
Like youth and no strife,
You give us everlasting life.
You increase our faith.

Oh, God, I adore You.
Like nuts on a tree,
We fly and are free.
You increase our faith.

Oh, God, I adore You.
Like a strict shop-keeper,
Our cost was high and not cheaper.
You increase our faith.

Oh, God, I adore You.
Like water and rain,
You make filth go down the drain.
You increase our faith.

Oh, God, I adore You.
When we pray and fast,
You give things that last.
You increase our faith.
