Glass House
Empty,
Not a sound.
In the Dark,
Lies a House.
You can see through its walls;
If it cracks then it falls.
Would you break it down if you could?
Would you build it back where it stood?
Why do you want to see it come down,
When you could build other houses in this town?
Maybe someday the world will stop
Throwing rocks at my glass house.
Don't tear it down it's fragile now,
Even shattered I'll hold somehow.
Sometimes we crack under pressure.
A feeling so lost, that no one can measure.
We build these weak foundations
On a ground that never holds.
And I would ask you to stay;
Stay away you're throwing too many stones.
And there I was, so unprepared.
Is it wrong if I feel scared?
As my strong demeanor ceases,
Would you smash me into pieces?
Maybe someday the world will stop
Throwing rocks at my glass house.
Don't tear it down it's fragile now,
Even shattered I'll hold somehow.
The walls would break
And crumble down.
The cuts remained,
I'd bleed it out.
And I would lay
Here on the ground.
My glass house
Is broken now....
