It's ok mommy don't you cry
I'll get better soon I'll surely try
Please mommy don't be sad
Really, I'll be ok it's not that bad
I like it when you read to me
And when you tuck me into my snuggly
I love ut when you sing so sweet
I can almost tap to every beat
So please mommy don't be sad
Even though I know it must be hard
Just know one day I'll be home with you
I cant wait mommy it's long overdue
And late at night when you sleep
I promise not to make a peep
So please mommy continue to pray
I'll be home soon it's where I'll stay
About this poem
After 13 miscarriages I got pregnant with twins who spent 3 months in a NICU they were born at 24 weeks and 5 days extremely premature I was inspired by the fear I felt everyday waiting hoping and praying they would be strong enough to come home
