My Abstract Thoughts

Jalmeen Sharma 2000 (Delhi)

The smile I see always,
Is it really real?
The fabrication of words,
The collision of worlds,
Lots of unique fusion,
Is it really isn't an illusion?

Illusion of what seems right,
I'm holding my breath really tight.
Just when I thought, nothing can go more worse,
The UNIVERSE said,
" It was for you to rehearse".

Is everyone like me?
Is the kid still smiling?
Is the oldie living with ease?
The thoughts are now making me freeze.

I ended up writing another piece,
That too in a single go,
But is it really worth it?
How can I get to know?

I'm neither sad, nor happy,
It's just people around me gets really creepy.
I know I won't get caught,
'Coz I'm sure of what to do and what not.

About this poem

This poem is a depiction of the world we live in and how it impacts even the minor thoughts within us. When I wrote this poem, I was surrounded with confusions, pain and an unknown fear.
