Analysis of What's Happened to the Stars?

She stood by the window, staring at the sky.
It was pitch black, yet she couldn't understand why.
"What's happened to the stars?" she wondered with a sigh.
No light, no brightness whether far or nearby.
"Oh, God!" she murmured "What does this signify?"
Then realizing the bitter truth, she began to cry.
She'd lost her sight; a fact she couldn't deny.
Now, she had some hardships to defy.
Would she manage? Perhaps. At least she would try.
She looked meditative and her face was wry.
Upon her memories she decided to rely.
Thus, she'd keep the twinkling of the stars in her mind's eye.
