Analysis of Jérémie

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

i just now caught a glimpse of you

in younger days

(...saw you as a child, your face aglow)

Lost in the memories of people, places things,

Realized, just then Where you must have been,

For lovers of life Looking up at windswept clouds

Observing stars at night

streams of life gently flowing by

Starlight finds us, so entuned
Making motions together
Just us two, me and you

Sliding into another realm

In ways almost imperceptibly measured

Cleverly diverted to another room
To create our lovers moon

Hot and cool in waning light of summer days

In reflection, quiet moods of our inner minds,

When calm enough to wade within our spirit pools tears of joy glowing in your eyes

With emotion, rising tides to merge into the flow

Of other people’s lives as they reap the bounty

from the oceans of passing tides,

For reasons We have found each other, here

Greater than what we know

Returning every season Right on time

Eye, reflecting by passions you have known...

Kept by the fire in your eyes
