Analysis of Ah Rainer…my Man*
Doug Blair 1951 (London)
Everyone speaks of your words
Some rain, Rainer
And some gleam with the
Hope of the sunny afternoon.
There is balance with you Sir.
I have only scratched your surface.
Responding mainly to the good spin
Of enthusiasts.
Used to see bits and pieces with
Rienzi Crusz.
Voice come from palms of Sri Lanka
To chills of wintery Waterloo.
He exhibited your richness.
Not a name dropper, was Rienzi.
Hope neither am I.
Will I be.
Honestly.
And I will keep
Swinging your paddle
Cross lakes of lucidity.
Dear Rainer.
