Christmas In Heaven

I hear a baby cry,
At night when I sleep,
Wakened in a panic state,
Just to lay there and weep.
I close my eyes to blink the tears,
And I vision your precious little face,
Now I can’t fall back to sleep,
Nor your image can I erase.
Sometimes I wake up screaming,
As my dreams replay your death,
And sometimes I wake up crying,
For your life I wasn’t blessed.
It’s late and the sun is coming up,
It’s time to face Christmas day,
Without you, my sweet baby boy,
Makes it hard to say hello to today.
Sometimes I close my eyes,
Simply just to see you again,
Your little body so perfect and new,
It’s impossible to bare the pain.
You get to spend Christmas in heaven,
As I spend it here thinking of you,
So I hope God wraps you up,
And tells you how much I love you.

You pull us in, and we can feel each moment throughout. Those, I believe, are the good ones.

I can feel your pain ... the loss of an innocent soul, so hard to bare
