Who's To Blame

Sharon Stubblefield 1966 (Bronx, NY)

A child is born
Breathes, cries, lives
Maybe for a hour or maybe a day
Who's to blame
The one who plants the seed
Or the one who allows it to grow
The damage is done, the die is cast
Who will pay the price for the hand dealt

Who's to blame
The demon or the sinner
Who do you charge
The one who handed you the torch or the ne who drops it
Who's to blame
How can you tell
The damage is the same
Death is absolute

So who's to blame
Death or hidding the truth
So tell me who's the blame is it the demon or is it...
YOU

About this poem

I wrote this poem 9 years ago after getting rid of a bad influence in my life. It is great to write your pain down then let it go.
