I am a keen gardener, passionate about music and singing and playing my piano. I also love growing my own vegetables. I love being outdoors and enjoy long walks and hikes with my husband. Following my mum's diagnosis with dementia and her subsequent death in January 2024 I am always looking at ways of increasing awareness of Dementia through my songs and poetry.

The Robin

His flash of red against the grey, a gentle warmth in tow,
And although the years go by, life moves on, and people come and go,
That Robin keeps on coming around, each day, to say hello!!

Autumn Fall

Leaves of autumn swirl to the ground,
then wait in piles of fun, to be found
by children wearing warm winter coats,
who, will jump and kick up each wondrous mound
to hear those crunchy seasonal notes
with laughter, red cheeks, and tiny cold...

As you say Susan...The passage of time and experience gives us the opportunity to look at our lives, ourselves, in a different light. - so so very true.
