Proud mom of 5 (one angel in heaven), with a broken heart in need of mending… again!! Writing is the most therapeutic way to help heal your wounded soul & get out your deepest feelings and emotions in the best way possible. Try it- you just might just become addicted. It’s the best addiction you can have! It doesn’t have to be perfection to be beautiful & perfect in its own right. I’ve been writing my feelings down since my life crumbled at only 10 years of age. Poetry, journaling, etc.. It helped me survive my dysfunctional family, all of the abuses I suffered from childhood & beyond, the tragic loss of my son ++++. 47 years of pain doesn’t fade away easily. Putting feelings & your deepest fears, sorrows, dreams & disappointments, losses in life, etc. on paper, is something that I truly believe has legitimately helped to save my life & become the strong, compassionate individual I am today. It’s just a hobby for me, but a VERY helpful one. When nobody understands or your feeling alone, I promise you.. WRITE! It feeds your soul! Much love, Shelly

The Storm That Never Moves

I stood in the fire, begging for rain,
Offering my heart, embracing the pain.
I bent like the willow, yielding, unbroken,
While he stood as granite—cold, unspoken.

I asked for truth, for something pure,
Not riddles and games, not lies to...

For My Grandma, My First Love

Today I feel you in the air,
a warmth that whispers you were there.
The love you gave, so pure, so true,
still lives in all I say and do.

You were my world, my safe, my home,
the truest love I’ve ever known.
A little girl, I gave...

The Weight of What Was

I gave my youth—not just in years,
but in the quiet, lurked my fears.
I gave my heart, a fragile flame,
to hands that never spoke my name.

I stood in shadows, soft and small,
and bore the weight of loving all.
I wore the silence like a...

Rising from the Ashes

She packed her bags and vanished
into the cold, unyielding night.
No money in her pockets,
no map to guide her flight.
She was running from the shadow
of the man who ruled her days,
who slept soundly as she whispered,
“No more,” and walked...

Echoes of the Girl I Was

I’ve fought this fight forever,
A cost too vast, too steep to bear,
I’ve wandered endless darkness,
Now blinded by despair.

Should I let go, dissolve to dust,
Lost in fate’s unyielding tide?
For years I’ve stood, a lone crusader,...

Hi there. I have 122 drafts, and all I see are like 4, and it says 122 so I never questioned it. My phone is busted, this is the only place my poems were fully stored. Where are all of my poems at?? I’m freaking out!! Thanks in advance!
