fire is crackling in the lobby
the flames soaring high into the sky
one thing is known with certainty
there is a lot of hot, blazing heat
when you put it out
the heat goes away
it is never to be felt
until another day

When I'm With Her

days are getting shorter and the nights are colder
but that doesn't matter when i'm with her
she makes me feel giddy and my cheeks go red
i feel flattered when i'm with her
she makes me smile for miles and laugh for hours

mirror reflects the person that stands in front it
not what that person is actually
then the person gets a false sense
of who they are
a mirror gives off emotions depending on look
and not depending on heart
