The Art of Making it Alone

The moment you let people into your life - you exposed yourself to vulnerability
The worst part about betrayal - it doesn't come from your enemy
You put your whole trust into someone - you ended up being let down
Fake memories flooded your chest...

I Miss You

When such deafening silence took over
In darkness while I'm under the cover
You'll cross my mind out of the blue
A swift moment I'll say - I miss you

When my cup of tea starts getting cold
Love letters read and neatly fold
You'll flash in my...

Poet & Poem Collision

On a breathtaking sunset view
An idea came out of the blue
Sharp chills of that winter season
Brought unexplored new horizon

The warmth on that summer day
Awaken words in its usual play
Pen and paper on her hand
Remnants scattered on the...

Her Eyes

I'll be staying in the city for a while so I rented a room
It's on the 2nd floor and I arrived exactly at 12 noon
Before climbing the stairs, the door leading to the basement caught my attention
I peeked through the small hole to satisfy my...

A Little Girl's Christmas Wish

She’s just a little girl who has seen this world’s cruelty
The main protagonist in this poem of tragedy
She watched from afar how children play with their parents in the amusement park
Then she proceeds to collect useful trash in the alley before...

For some unknown reason, for the past few months, I am easily drawn to poems that are short but meaningful. This poem speaks volumes to me. It highlights a quick break from everything that I unknowingly need.

Hello there Susan! I just want to take this opportunity to tell you that I actually love most of your works. In fact, in the previous competitions, two of your poems made it to my top 10 and I am proud to say that during the last month's contest, your poem got my vote. Looking forward to read more of your amazing writings. :)

Congratulations to the winner!!! :)

Also, I just want to give emphasis to this idea - "All of your works are indeed great, it's just a matter of preference. Just the mere fact that each poem in this contest had already won 1st place is in itself an evident proof that people had appreciated its beauty for simply what it is."

As such, I would like to make a toast to everyone's amazing poems.

Let us all keep the good wtiting going. :)

Hi John! First of all, congrats on your win. Keep up the good work! :)

Horror and thriller are definitely my cup of tea. This poem was my first attempt to capture those genres in my usual play of rhyme.

Hello there my friend Robin-hood! Glad to see that you love it. :) Like what I told you before, I felt like this one is totally different from my other works. And yup, this was my first attempt to write something related to horror and thriller which happened to be, my cup of tea.

Hope to see you back in this month's competition. Don't miss the thrill please, I know you got a lot of poems worthy to be read. Miss you much! :)

Aging is my biggest fear. As strange as it may sound, reading this poem brought a bit of comfort and now, I suddenly have this thought - "Looks like aging isn't that bad after all."

Yehey! Looks like the problem had been fixed. I've been encountering that website issue since February 2.

It's working well now. Thanks a lot for your kind response. :)

Hi everyone! As of now, I only managed to read very few of the entries for this month's competition. For the past few days, the moment I click "GO TO VOTING PAGE" button, I am often automatically directed to an error page saying - "Error 503 Backend fetch failed"

Am I the only experiencing this? I would really appreciate any form of answer that can provide solution to this problem. Feel free to reply please. Thank you in advance. :)

During the month of May competition, I was so torn between two poems. I ended up voting for "Homesick" which is really worthy of my vote. :) But at the back of my mind, I have these words saying - "If only we are allowed to give more than just one vote, I won't hesitate to vote for "Who Are You Today" poem as well. And now, a rare opportunity had clearly presented itself to me.

I can't wait to see the results. Good luck to all! :)
