When faces are pressed together
Foreheads resting,
Noses touching, and
Breath is shared,
I see the cosmos in thine eyes
Full of infinite wonder and possibility.

The specks of an iris
Closely resemble to specks of star dust

Soft green light filters to the ground
The air is thin and cool.
A teeming quietness settles
Dry pine needles send out stacattos.

A bird cries a sorrowful song
Wishing for its absent mate.
