Timely said, for so many are dead!
No choice, no voice—Oh, what dread!
So this poem came to the head,
Among many great poems I chose instead!

Wasteful resources from shore to shore,
More than the rubble are the lives lost forever,
Children, fathers, mothers, replaceable—never.

Cry with you, brother and sister, my.
Helpless and fearful of days gone by,
Wondering how long we must pray and cry,
To say to this war forever be gone, goodbye!
