Liken to Heartbeat

Scourge these thoughts,
desires to worship a body,
a physical attendance of love;
I’ve never had that.
Can you understand
this aching in my chest, I can feel this
deep in my stomach somewhere.
It’s killing me.
Can you understand
this desolation

Mise En Scene

I'm laying
on a crooked metal frame.
Shadows from the wall, from the fan on
the ceiling; cast the
shading aside in but marks
on the pillows.
From cigarettes.
I have here a desk,
of delaying likelihood;
we manage
to keep change

Hi everyone! I'm new to the website, but I'm very happy to be here! I have a feeling I might be a little younger than most of the poets here, so I'm looking forward to hearing some good advice from more experienced folks. Thanks for having me here!
