Twilight Melody

In this twilight
my heart takes flight
to places I cannot see
but that are as real
as the touch of a song.
The internal melody
opens like a flower blooming,
the wind carries the tune
far & wide
from me to you
& you to me--
space & place...

Sun Rise

Got up early enough this morning
to open the curtain
of the window
that faces east
& saw the feast
of the sun opening
the sky with a color palette--
always different blends & shades
& cloud accents,
it's like a personal greeting to me...

things move towards
transparency,
lightness,
lessening,

Because We Love

What can we do
when all is ashes & tears?
Where can we go
when the fires & floods
carry away
what once was solid?
Worry not
we are told by prophets of old,
they chant the same words
over & over,
but still we cry
in sorrow
as life slips...
