I am 53 and married. I have no children of my own because of fertility issues. I do, however, have a great step-daughter and 3 grandchildren, whom I love dearly. I recently have had medical issues that have caused me to rethink my work environment and chose to return to school to help with my husband's business. I took a creative writing class because I was recommended by a Professor. I have enjoyed the class so much that I have recently started writing and hoping that I can make some one else happy or in awe with my poetry, short stories, and maybe, one day, a book of my wild and crazy life.

Evil Within

Walking around in silence
Trying to be what is wanted
Can it be done unheeded
Never is the answer
Evil within
No noise is allowed
The house is silent
A squeak is heard
Running is approaching
Sit in the corner unnoticed
Hoping it will pass
Evil...

Dreams Unawakened

Waking up in this boxed life
Holding back what is truly felt
My mind is full of unanswered questions
Yet there is so many giving their answers
Can you listen to these answers
Can you trust the answers
Never
It is your choice
It is your decision
It...

Orbs of Past

Being a teen of mischievousness
Having others over while parents were gone
Telling ghost stories to scare them
Pretending I was possessed
I knew than I was unique
I did not realize this was the day
The day for the appearance
As I and a young boy was...

Demons

Young of the age of 7
Told to go to bed
Watching the fan blades twirl
Demon lurking behind
Mocking and laughing
Suddenly the fan lifts up
Moving to the doorway
I jump up and bend to avoid
the blades and cord
feeling the cord on my back
as I run from...

Lady in Christmas Red

As I stand outside smoking a late night cigarette
I glance at the neighbors house
I see a Shadowy figure
My eyes adjust with the night light
It is a lady in Christmas red
A dress of red with white fluffy trim
Just standing at the door
As if to be...

This was a dark time in my life. I knew of this guy through high school. His dad was a security officer and there was nothing that I could do, so I thought. What could be done?

My neighbor was surprised about the lady in red. She said her mother would dress for Christmas in red and white. It was actually around Christmas time when this was seen. She is a 73 year old lady that does believe that things exists and will tell me of things that has happened here in the holler of Tennessee, especially, the war ghostly appearances. Hope you all enjoy my life experiences. On to the next.

I live on land that was once fought on. Civil War was fought here in December 14, 1863, in Bean Station, TN. I will tell many a poems with the experiences that I have had in my poetry. Hope this is a good start.
