I have been writing poetry since childhood. Somewhat prolific although not many of my poems have been preserved. I only write when inspired. When that inspiration comes it is feverish and unrelenting. It refuses to let me sleep 'til I have put pen to paper. I write mostly in English but from time to time I write in French and Spanish.

Trees swaying in the dark Illumined by the full moon and stars. Local color, background noises, Music mixed with discordant voices. Festivities coming to a close. Images, sounds, fading in, fading out. Daylight covets midnight’s doze A cat’s whini...

I really like this poem, it gives me hope and a sense that hope is so much more than that.

My favorite line in this poem is, “Where total liberation from this stranger drinking life out of many lives will come.” It is so beautiful, so poetic, screams pathos because drinking implies living. I love the irony in it’s well.
