Not Everything Is Forever

Maybe I'm a little bit drunk tonight
Or maybe I'm just nostalgic, right?
Nothing has ever been black and white,
But once upon a time, you were my knight.

Two years, four years, six years ago:
We were young and didn't know
Where at all this...

2021/08/16 ~ Spiritual Warrior

I’m just trying to be a daughter
To a father and my mum,
Be a sister to their children,
Something to everyone.
Up and fighting so that they’ll see
That the Bible tells the truth.
Yeah, we’re built up for success
If we follow what is true!

2021/12/15 ~ What It's Like Missing You

Who know missing somebody so bad would feel like...

It's physically hurting in your chest?

Half your heart is gone?

There's a whole being torn in my soul?

That's only part of what it's like missing...

2022/02/28 - Untitled

Drowning far from shore...
No savior in my frantic sight.

The lid of my coffin finally...

I’m a young woman who has learned not to cry much for fear of it being seen as a weakness , one who has been known to go for 6 months or longer without shedding a single tear. However, in reading the simplicity and raw emotion of this poem, i have been brought to tears.

Not only is it relatable, but it becomes personal. I’ve suffered much abuse at the hands of those who were supposed to care for me, supposed to love me.

Three years after I won and escaped, I still struggle like hell to forgive them for taking my innocence, for the abuse suffered at their hands. But you have put into words that which I wish I could do. Forgive them every passing day, no matter what they did in years gone by.

Beautiful, well written. I love poems, more so writing than reading them. However, I’m glad I read this one today.
