thanks for taking effort to uplift and to give a shoulder of happy support. Your succinct biog emphasizes the importance of Divine inspiration and giving Glory unto Jesus. So much of today’s writing is dubious and naysaying. Not yours. Not mine…Douglas Blair. You should start your own blog or site. He stands with a shoulder tipped puckishly…talking about admission to a play or session of learning…slavishly hard to acquire…then up pop words with fire…observance, rib poking, light joking…or apologies for foibles he can’t ever subdue…or want to….Billy Collins. more » 1 year ago | View
Billy SHOULD HAVE more contributions here. Why not acquire any one of his rich, rib tickling, far from structured volumes of wit…Douglas Blair 1 year ago | View
It starts out empty spaces But I’m awake, alert. Expecting inspiration To bring on hope or hurt. To show a hero coming through Or social norm gone bad. To try to recreate the Greatest thrill I’ve ever had. To show a people unlike ours Or countryside pristine. To listen to a singing lark Or crackling ice at even. All this and somewhat more Becomes the searching Poet’s task. But first the call of empty page The choice, the Lord to ask. more » 1 year ago | View
it is nice exchanging like this. Few oblige on ANY social platform. One or two word inputs only tick me off, oh Hurried One. But you get it Oryana. Your objectives are attainable through Christ. http://pastursgreen3.blogspot.com/ 1 year ago | View

Wants to see HIS offering (agreement). But otherwise an excellent account. His suffering refined many in their meditations on his providence and unjust lot. But Buddy, Heaven is a long glorious time to be right, albeit tested. The Glory that shall be revealed in us. Romans chapter 8…Douglas Blair. http://histocall.blogspot.com/ 1 year ago | View

As to the ongoing relevance and power of Scripture take a look at The Letters of Samuel Rutherford. He lived in the mid 1600s. Got banished from his pulpit for non- conformity. Wrote to his parishioners the famous Letters. King of England was trying to force state religion with many a capture and death. The time of the Scottish Covenanters…Douglas Blair (extracts from the letters are still published by Banner of Truth Trust). more » 1 year ago | View
You have given a spot on explanation of His coming. Gospel poetry excellent. Opposite to much of today’s naysaying, cynical fare. The writers might use lots of twenty dollar words, but really have no clue as to deep or delightful. Thanks Richard. http://histocall.blogspot.com/ 1 year ago | View
Foxes running by. The image expresses tranquil harmony. Yes alone for sure. And that would be swimming upstream in today’s norm. Excellent piece. Five star… the aloneness is drawing…the peaceful place pulling…the likes of God’s imaginative Hand…the species pop out smiling, respectful beguiling…it’s you the Lord the Love and the Land. more » 1 year ago | View
This is really good. A cleansing hope of Heaven. A host of helping angels. Not gods mind you, but messenger/warrior servants and helpers. Answering the Heavenly Father’s commissioning. One in particular had been a brother. Crazy memories, hassles and comforts. Amen. The great Reunion follows up yonder. more » 1 year ago | View

Wonderful stuff. Brokenness, healing, fresh breathing. And recovery with strength and appreciation. But you say that Kindness is a beguiling Liar? Then it is not kindness…Douglas Blair 1 year ago | View
Was all they knew for sure at that moment. Instantaneous, quick grab at the thrills only half thought through. The other thought is for early rising for work, bad breath, who pays which bill, TV dinners and where gone the thrill, Old Chum. more » 1 year ago | View
Excellent mystical account, explaining how self pity, unforgiveness, envy and social norm were the bars for a long time caging, entrapping, with resultant self-condemnation. And misery. 1 year ago | View
Great expectations issuing from the Selfless Heart. Wonderful poem Oryana….Douglas Blair 1 year ago | View
The warm unforgettable down home feel of the poem is excellent. Cadence as well. And gentle patience in the elders. Meanwhile the youngster, living close to nature and simple adventure, wants to ingest it and never let it go. Sorry little one. more » 1 year ago | View
Frost has one about a farm home with adjacent fruit stand outside a large city. Occasionally slickers stop to ask for car fuel. They pay little attention to the produce, the fruit of honest labour. These are dumb, boring farm folk? Not so. more » 1 year ago | View
thanks for the undergirding. A comment that dares to offer more than two sentences. Extraordinary and needful in this cyber world of careless clickety-click. 1 year ago | View
In Paul’s first letter to Thessalonians, he introduces the assurance of the Rapture or catching away of the church into the clouds. Chapter four. Ridiculous, Perhaps, but God, the never erring, promised it. Powerful enough to make it happen. Second Letter reassres, as does this poe. more » 1 year ago | View
This poem is a delightful dance. The lotus land people of the Coast and the striding, exhilarating pioneer spirit retained inland. You should read the novel entitled East if the Mountains by David Guterson…Douglas Blair more » 1 year ago | View
A just assessment of those men behind their desks sitting on their rotund rumps and adding little of value. Oh and yes, I used to be a lawyer 1976-1987. 1 year ago | View
