The Birth That Changed My World

The morning sun did rise and then
A million bored and angry men Fought the crowds and rushing mobs
To tiresome, weary, thankless jobs
And garnered naught but labor's fee
Nor made a single memory
And soon, like dust to whirlwind cast
Another day had quickly passed.
But I, I know within my heart
What set this common day apart
From all the others gone before
That offered breath, but little more
This day held joy untold for me
Hear with your heart and you will see
Just why this day's a special one
Today, yes today, I held....... my son!
