Voracious Time

Professor, therapist, author and poet.

Voracious time consumes and trades vitality for dust.
The budding flower blooms and fades
leaving an empty crust.

Voracious time consumes and trades vitality for dearth.
The farming plower sows and fades
leaving a barren earth.

Voracious time consumes and trades vitality for bleat.
The cooling tower mists and fades
leaving a stifling heat.

Voracious time consumes and trades vitality for bone.
The shelter bower cracks and fades
leaving an paltry stone.

Voracious time consumes and trades vitality for sand.
The morning shower bursts and fades
leaving a thirsty land.
