Wallace Dean LaBenne

The Stock Market

Professor, therapist, author and poet.

Visions of the billionaire
Endless lure of fast money
Crafty shrewdness can ensnare
Misleading and uncanny
Many financial planners
Advise when to buy and sell
Using formula timers
Their "wisdom" eager to tell
Misnomer called investment
Trading within hours or days
Some making no commitment
Seeking returns to amaze
Fingers crossed in the scramble
Betting the "almighty" buck
This action is mere gamble
Trusting only in their luck
Gyrating fluctuations
Reasons given have wide range
Seem like rationalizations
Justifying mindless change
