*This senryu was written on Sunday Feburary 3rd, 2013; the day of the Super Bowl. It was released exclusively to apoetseye, a private poetry group consisting of former members from poetry.com. 3 days later, I'm releasing it to you all. Better late than never I always say.

A Senryu is a Japenese form of short poetry similar to a haiku in terms of construction (5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second line, and 5 syllables in the third line). While haikus tend to be about nature and are usually serious, senryus are about human foibles and are usually cynical, sarcastic, and/or have dark humor.
