Regret

Professor, therapist, author and poet.

If we had felt the wonder. If we had seen the light.
If we had put the blunder. Our regret couldn't kite.

If we had paid the piper. If we had sailed the sea.
If we had shot the viper. Our regret wouldn't be.

If we had built the glory. If we had told the tale.
If we had lived the story. Our regret couldn't rail.

If we had won the medal. If we had hit the ball.
If we had met the pedal. Our regret wouldn't gall.

If we had kept the border. If we had set the rule.
If we had held the order. Our regret couldn't fool.

If we had used the money. If we had seized the day.
If we had tried the honey. Our regret wouldn't prey.
