No Alibi

Professor, therapist, author and poet.

Like a chatoyant gemstone, such as a cat's eye,
your luster is changeable with no alibi.

Like a sleuth illustrious, such as a great spy,
your inkling is changeable with no alibi.

Like a skin-swap chameleon, such as a vat's dye,
your manner is changeable with no alibi.

Like an untidy paddock, such as a pig's sty,
your array is changeable with no alibi.

Like a navy commander, such as Captain Bligh,
your diktat is changeable with no alibi.

Like a talmi-gold bracelet, such as a cheap buy,
your design is changeable with no alibi.

Like a blank philosophy, such as a blue-sky,
your belief is changeable with no alibi.
