My last breath

"life isn't measured by the numbers of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away". With my poetry, I want to make more of those breathtaking moments, to put everything I feel into words and let everyone else enjoy it as well as learning from it.English is not my first languageā€¦

The cold wind freezes my bones,
My thoughts soar into a little hole,
They slowly fall, losing their breath,
What had happened? No one can guess.

My life has been such a mess,
I can feel my body crying for a bless.
For what reason would I want to stay,
All I've been doing is pushing you away.

I'm having my last breath,
Never again; that's what they say,
My thoughts; they all fly away,
Dreams I will never dream again.

My mind flies aside the sidewalk,
I can sense the fear in my heart,
But I know this is just the start
Of a new story; a new clock.

Seconds won't pass as they do,
I thought the story would be me and you.
Alone I walk; flying through the day,
This was meant to be my way.

I'm having my last breath,
Never again; that's what they say,
My thoughts; they all fly away,
Dreams I will never dream again.

I walk the street; it starts to rain,
As if the clouds knew I wanted to cry
I can't go through this pain,
It's my turn to die.

Thank you for being my friend,
I can't tell you; I'm so afraid.
But I know one thing for sure,
This is the way, this is my cure.
