Hex

I am a nurse and a mother of three grown children. I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager. I love expressing myself on paper. I am a pastor's wife. We pastor a small church in Media, Pa. We are presently debating with a group of people on U-Tube who say that the world will end on May 21,…

Holding on to all your words
As though they came from God
Perplexed, a mess
It shouldn't be
You'd have this hold on me
My heart is racing
And, I, I'm pacing
Wondering what I'll do
To stay away from you
Identity I find
In the taking up your time
And still it doesn't satisfy
Deeper needs inside
I've got to take some steps
To break free of this hex
Perplexed, a mess
It shouldn't be
You'd have this hold on me
