Flight Announcement

Professor, therapist, author and poet.

Then comes the flight announcement
And numbers rush like raging bulls
Into unformed lines
Masses holding suitcased cargo
Few thoughts for neighbors
Hoping to occupy the desired choice
With swift feet, aiming
Toward the gigantic tin bird

Among the mob of human motion
The gazing eye will then record
Startling sights among the scenes
As the rich and poor, young and old
Satisfied, discontented, the jealous and secure
The homogenizing of the traveling many
Will flash into one wide glimpse
