Poetry is, and should be, the essence of a person. Like a painting, a fingerprint, or the unique way each person's eyes sparkle, poetry cannot be copied or replicated. That's what I love about it. I write to get stuff off my chest. I write in the hopes that someone out there understands how I feel.…

lonely child
poor innocent flesh
come invest yourself
in my thunder

taste my blood,
lips, hair, and fingertips
memorize my taste and smell and touch
as you memorize my power over you

i beg you, worry
channel your heart beat to keep time
with your fear
i love you. you're mine. all mine.

i am your lightning, life, and only hope
each kiss
is defibrillation
the electric shock that makes you worth your blood
