A Black New Year 2005

I have always loved the written word and expressing my truest and highest self. I love books. I love nature and simplicity. My deepest passion is self-love, growth, spiritual journey, and opening my heart to the world.

A black New Year 2005
Nature's fury
Without warning
Thousands snatched away
The others left
Mourning the one's they loved
In awe and disbelief
Some thankful
Others anxious
Watching and waiting
Keep me from
Losing my footing
Easily tripped up
Quick to enter in
Unguarded innocents
Easily trusts sweet kindness
Candy-coated lips use
Every tricky tongue twisted opportunity
To feed on the smallest chance of stolen trust
Knowing not why
