Suenos

Douglas is a published poet who have been accorded several awards for his poetry. He is a former teacher of 40 years the last 13 of which focused on teaching middle school children to write especially using various poetic forms.

Dreams of you
Walking with me
Not chatting
But speaking when necessary

Two spirits
Embedded in one

Transcending reality
To find some
Meaning to
A trivialized existence.

I yearn, you yawn
I yawn, you yearn
Non-syncopated anticipation
Two souls, One purposed

Dreaming, Suenos,
Dulces suenos,
Buenos suenos.

Don’t let
Your dreams
Be dreams.

Mi suenos mas dulce eres tu.
