In abject stillness
Clouds softly creep
Enveloping the clear blue sky.

Gently a soft breeze
Advances through the trees
Awakening each little leaf and needle.

Previously chattering
Mockingbirds and Whip-poor-wills
Embed asleep,napping till the light.

Man awakens
And cars glide by
On the nearby concrete ribbon.

The sun appears as the earth revolves
Feathered friends, sheep, and fliers
Arise to usher in the new beginning.
