In the gloom nights of summer,
In the sky, far away,
To the ending of sight-limits
The stars stay shining
Lying on the bed
At the house veranda
I tried to count the stars,
Succeeding several hundred
During that, suddenly,
Mosquitoes disturb; I lost concentration;
It returned again and again;
I felt weary of it; however,
I forgot such a feeling, whenever
I realized, the firefly at my focusing sight
Flying around the veranda
I emotionally enjoyed
A beautiful wonder of that
Such a touch became a perfumed-dream
I ran after the firefly; it flew ahead,
High, low, left, right and
Sometimes, backward as well
I couldn't reach and approach it
I gave up; but waited desperately
To have it
Surprisingly, the firefly also landed
On a wall, branches of the tree
And flowers, turning by turning
I saw with shocked eyes
Firefly turned into a fireball,
Shaping, appearing as a fairy
To enlighten my entity
For astonishing the entire world
I have been waiting for that
Realizing it is only a dream
However, one can turn it into reality.
