Don't Ask Me What I Need

As a proud Palestinian, I protest for peaceful resolve of the conflicts inherited by my homeland, with nothing mightier than the pen. Until I meet this goal, I swim alone. Readers may find the same metaphor woven into most of my work.

Ask me anything in the world, and I will always be your girl, but don't ask me what I need, you won't hear what you're looking for

If you don't believe, I might need you to leave, and you might need me to stay, when I'd rather fly away

You may never see me again, if we stop playing pretend
so don't ask me what I need, or this angel may descend

If you don't believe, I might need you to leave, and you might need me to stay, when I'd rather fly away

Ask me anything in the world
