SANAA THE POET Sanaga Jessica Shai (Sanaa_Shy) March 25 1998, is a young South African poet, actress, aspiring songwriter and filmmaker. She began writing from a tender age of ten, from kids stories, to putting words together that later turned to the poetry she creates today. Her greatest achievements include being a regular guest on radio stations such as Impulse Radio Africa, Thetha FM, Deep South FM and VUT FM, being featured for a women’s month special in a local newspaper (Globe Post) and performing on stage at the very first Miss Lenasia South 2019 and Pop up poetry sessions. She lives by the words “Patience is a virtue.” And her message is “Breathe beautiful souls, the universe always responds best to positive energy.” This is the beginning for the young poet, she aims to create more awareness on mental illnesses amongst the youth and spread love.
