I am a poet that shys away from the academic side of poetry, because it is more important to have the right feeling in a poem than to write the correct amount of syllables.I have written over 500 poems on absolutely every subject, and have been challenged to write about anything that people think is impossible.I write to get my head and my thoughts straight, and sometimes to clear up other peoples opinions so i can be more tolerant towards that.I am sure almost everyone on here writes for themselves first, and are then happy when other people like or agree with their point...I am no exception!To those out there that are unsure of what they write....NO POEM IS BAD...as long as it is from your heartPeter J Goodwin
