Poems »

Born in Liverpool the artist and writer has been involved with many subjects in both creative fields. Her lifelong passions are cats and nature. Her earliest memories involve drawing, being outside and cats, and both were features of early life in a Victorian house with a large garden and her own wood. Her recently-published collection of poems 'Show Me The Mountain Bright Meadows Below', 100 poems with 70 illustrations, is intriguing, sometimes challenging, sad, beautiful, evocative and thought-provoking. Metaphysical, mystical, magical - the poems speak of love, lust, dreams, desire, loss, people, places, and our shadows both in reality and what the poet perceives as glimpses through the veils to beyond, or the unknown. She writes of struggles one can face when life presents us with mountains we know we must scale, and believes that links and signs of love come to us, giving strength, direction and helping guide our way. Her hope is that others will find they can relate, perhaps also gain encouragement in difficult times or just simply enjoy reading the verses.
