Poems »

I am a 57 year oldbi-vocational pastor and insurance agent. I wrote my first poem (Through the Haze of Life) at age 19 during the summer between my Freshman and Sophomore year in college. I wrote another that evening in the moonlight. (A Reflecting Wave) It took me totally by surprise and I kept them to myself as I looked to see if i could find them in the library. I figured I had just remembered it from somewhere. I hadn't. I have written a couple of hundred since then. The majority of them for my wife. She has let me post a few. I have a daughter and 3 step-daughters, and 4 beautiful grandchildren (3 girls and a boy) and one on the way. There are many sources of poetic inspiration in my life. Fortunately for me, most are positive, though I have known my share heartache and there will be poems that reflect that. I look forward to the interaction with others who have discovered the joy of putting the musings of their hearts into words.
