My name is Matthew rundle I have been writing poetry for about 17 years or so. As a child I had a bit of a rough life and used creative writing to escape my struggles. During the coved lockdown my oldest daughter was doing a school project and asked me "who are the diggers and what did they do." So I wrote this poem for he. I grew up in a small town in Victoria Australia called Leongatha. I was born in the town of Leongatha but now reside in a small coal mining town called Wonthaggi. I have 3 awesome kids and my married my high school sweet heart who I have been with for the past 24 years.
