Laura Hughes is an award winning author and poet who was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She is a high school graduate who began writing poetry at the age of eighteen, after being diagnosed with Schizo-Affective Disorder. She used her writing as a form of therapy to help deal with the issues her illness caused. Her literary works have been published in online literary magazines the likes of Spillwords Press, the World of Myth, and the Inner Circle Writer's magazines. She has also been published in numerous poetry and micro fiction anthologies.
