Please consider my poem on parenting which was written to my children in the future once they develop their sense of humor. Writing poetry through a humorous lens has helped me to more effectively cope with my postpartum depression and anxiety. I have worked in the field of education as a speech therapist and a school administrator for the past 13 years. I am a maternal mental health advocate and the self-published author of the children’s picture book, “The Little Blue Rocket Ship: A Story About Postpartum Depression,” which is currently a finalist in the The Page Turner Awards (2022). My writing has been featured on Motherly, Hello Postpartum, Welldoing, and Filter Free Parents. Thank you in advance for your consideration!
