Colleen Kane-Dacri, PhD has been writing poetry since she was in elementary school. Having written over 600 poems to date her poetry has served her as a private inward healing journey. Recent inspiration has led Colleen to step out of herself and begin sharing both her current and past poetry. She is a frequent participant in several poetry programs including The Emily Dickenson Museum, the Poetry Foundation, Academy of American Poets, The Poetry Society of America, The Worcester County Poetry Association, Poetry.com, The Three Sunday’s Programs with poet David Whyte, and recently the Local Gems Poetry Press 49 Haikai Challenge. Colleen moved to San Francisco in 1978 and was inspired by frequent visits to City Lights bookstore where she attended poetry readings, poetry events, and book releases from inspiring poets. By occupation, Colleen is a clinical psychologist who has been in private practice in San Francisco for over 35 years.
