CALVIN CARTER

I am a conservative Texan-American who believes in the ability of the written word to influence those who read them. I believe in the doctrines of the founding Fathers of the American revolution, "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Writing and offering poetry is a source of happiness that I enjoy and I am grateful to this website for allowing me the opportunity to convey the thoughts I have from time to time here. I am thankful also for those who read and convey their opinions about my words, both positive, negative or otherwise.I enjoy many types of poetry. If you read mine, most of them are written in a rhyming form because that is what I am most used to. I also enjoy the other forms that are displayed here.
