Áine Connolly

Áine Connolly is a young Irish poet of 22 years with extensive experience in the creative world of composition. She has won multiple competitions in piano composition and songwriting contests since the age of 11 and has turned to poetry since the beginning of COVID times. Lockdowns were a time where she discovered the power of poetry, which she sees as a way of outwardly expressing inner feelings, "masked" or not. She has performed at multiple poetry recitals and uses everyday life as her main source of inspiration for her poetry, hence her poems being starkly realistic and relatable, as well as heavily loaded with emotion.
