A pearl in the snow

As the snow came down, I thought for a while
of a lifetime with you. When you spoke of your man,
I squeezed your hand as if to say, "
Forget about him, we're okay." As I looked into
your magnetic eyes, which had drawn my heart inside
your sweet soul, lo and behold a vision of
wonderful stood at my side. Then with each
step I took, deeper you sunk into my heart and mind.
We spotted a bridge; it reminded me of kids
as we ran under it that day. The kiss you
gave only made the snow melt around us. We saw
a dove; it was as if love gave us the right of way.
A snowball I made somehow grazed off your back.
I smiled with content; I knew that meant
you'll get me back. I started to run. I was
having fun . . . in the snow that day. You caught
me with ease; I gave up with please. Then you
fell on top of me. There we laid. I was in a
daze . . . on top of the snow that day.
