Faded graphite

I found this in some old notebook paper in my old room:

---

Would you spend a day
staring at the sun?
sprawled out on some grass,
You could frankly say,
"It's yet to be done."

How fast would time pass
Around a quiet hill?
As You are light in flight
With nothing but your thoughts
While all else is still
underneath your sight

---

I'd like to say:

---

Would that I could spend a day
watching the far clouds fly away
yes, it's true that like the world,
I spin.
I'm in a lull and sadly
sometimes it seems
I always somehow seem to choose to crawl

But I have flown! And I have fallen.
I remember the thrill and warmth and glow.
And frankly
I know
I can get there again

If you'll excuse me,
"It's yet to be done,"
but, yeah, it's yet to be done.

Lately I've dreamt of a quiet hill
and would that I could,
I would love to share it with You.
To bask in my flaws and to dream in your dreams
For the two of us to hear the words,
"You should have loved yourself better."
