Oracles and Miracles

If you are lucky enough to get out of this – alive –
Do remember, it was man’s quest of knowledge that made you survive
This catastrophe. Came no angel flying down from heaven
To fix this world at sixes and sevens.
But wait! Angels were there in white
Taking the bull by its horn, right
At the middle, looking straight in the eye
Of the storm. With temples and mosques on standby
And church bells getting covered with dust
It was the men in badges upon whom you laid your trust.
 
The God you prayed to was well behind the clouds.
Cried you may, helpless and loud,
It was then, came those of the men, whose touch you always tried to get rid off.
They touched your heart and kept off
The apocalypse. They did the best to not let all hells broke loose.
Its then when you realized what you ought to choose.
 
Its then when you realize – not the oracles
But its man’s thirst for knowledge that brings in the miracles.
